PREWAR LIONEL 12 Gondola

 

Lionel offered the 12 in many variations from from 1906 to 1926.  This is a later version from the late teens to mid 20s.  It is grey with green trim, marked "LAKE SHORE" and "Capacity 20000 LBS. Weight 10000 LBS".  The bottom is marked "Made in USA - The Lionel Corporation - New York".

Unfortunately the paint is chipping off of this example, making it a nice candidate for the layout or restoration.
